Historic Belle Meade Bungalow Renovan.
Keeping to the original character of this 1950's home, the design interventions focus on color and spatial composition.
The shades of dark green utilized between the dining and living room allow for light to reflect off of the surfaces- creating depth and richness in light tonality. Small sconces flanking the dining room entrance provide a transitional element as well as illumination for the original bookcase. The shelved niches and finished threshold provide framed views of the owners artwork collection.
The kitchen renovations are focused on materiality and circulation. The new floor tile is a custom herringbone coral stone, complimenting the natural iridescence of the Zellige backsplash. In addition, new cabinetry by Miles of Wood was designed and installed and was outfitted with new appliances.
This bathroom renovation features floor to ceiling terrazzo walls and playful wavy checkerboard tile floors. Polished fixtures and mirror give it a spa like feel.
